As we approach this year’s Earth Day (April 22), the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is once again encouraging people of all ages to make a pledge for change in the fight to save endangered species, protect endangered habitats and address global threats such as deforestation, overfishing and climate change.
WWF is asking people worldwide to make and share their personal commitment to help save the planet. The interactive “Time for Change” website will serve as a public forum, allowing you to describe what you're doing to make a difference for Earth Day and post their pledge on the website along with stories, photos and other items you'd like to share. Select pledges will be featured on the WWF Time for Change web site each day through Earth Day, April 22.
Also, WWF is asking Americans to support WWF’s global conservation efforts by donating to WWF online, by phone, through the mail or at any of over 12,000 participating Coinstar Centers. WWF supporters will receive a receipt for their contribution, and for single receipts showing a donation of $50 or more, when you mail them to WWF, you'll receive a set of three WWF recycling bins. Check WWF’s Time for Change program, and how to post your personal commitment online at WorldWildLife.org/EarthDay or by calling 1-800-CALL-WWF (1-800-225-5993).
